The visa by itself in foreigner's passport doesn't give the guarantee
to cross Polish territory. A very important thing, which for sure will
interest border guards, is the ability for financial support at the time
of stay.

Financial
resources for the stay
A foreigner should upon request of a border guard show resources necessary
to cover all costs of journey, stay and returning from country. It can
be cash in polish currency (polish zloty) or in exchangeable currencies.
Right for entering has also valid credit card and traveler's cheques.
It may also be a confirmed by a bank's stamp and an authorized workers
signature certificate of having suitable financial resources in a Bank,
which has it's habitat on the territory of The Republic of Poland, but
prepared not later than a month before crossing the border.
The amount of financial resources, which should have the foreigner entering
the territory of the Republic of Poland, and the documents which may confirm
having these resources and purpose crossing the border are regulated by
the Ordinance of the Minister of Interior and Administration from the
29th September 2003 (Dz. U. Nr 178, poz. 1748).
For every day of stay, the foreigner should have equivalence of 100 PLN,
and a child before the age of 16 - appropriately 50 PLN. However the sum
for aged person should not be less than 500 PLN, and for a child before
the age of 16 - 300 PLN. If the time of stay does not exceed 3 days, then
required is - appropriately - equivalence of 300 and 150 PLN. The border
guards will check if crossing border person has the possibility to pay
the costs of exploiting a car, which he will use to travel on polish roads.
The border guards will not strictly demand from the foreigner a confirmation
of having suitable financial resources if he is a member of an organized
trip, youth camp, is going as a sports contestant for sports competitions
or is going for a medical treatment or to a sanitarium. However in such
case he may be asked to show documents confirming taking part in such
venture with a proof of paying the costs of stay in Poland, or a relegation
to a therapeutic unit. Such documents must have: exact data of a firm
which filled these documents, data of the tourism service organizer, time
and place of stay, exact track of the tour, first and middle name of the
trip member and a confirmation of covered costs of the touristic service.
Members of touristic trips, youth camps, sport competitions or treatment
and sanitarium trips however must have equivalence of 20 PLN for every
day of stay, however not less than 100 PLN.

Invitation
A document confirming possibility of subsisting the foreigner coming
to Poland can be invitation, made by a Polish citizen, living on the territory
of the country or a foreigner living legally in Poland at least % years
before writing the invitation. The border guards will acknowledge only
the original invitation written on the formal form and registered in the
invitation register, kept by an appropriate voivode for dwelling place
of the inviter. The voivode will refuse the record to invitations file
if inviting person or institution won't be able to prove and will not
